What changes the price

  • The number of hours a clean takes in your home.
  • How often you book: weekly is usually the best rate.
  • Whether the cleaner brings products and a vacuum.
  • Extras such as ironing, laundry or inside the fridge.
  • How tidy the home is before they arrive.

How long it takes

A weekly clean of a one or two bedroom flat usually takes two to three hours. The first visit often takes longer while the cleaner learns your home.

How to pay less

  • Pick a fixed weekly or fortnightly slot: it is usually the best value.
  • Agree a task list so the hours go on what matters to you.
  • Provide your own products if you already own them.

Before you hire

  • Ask for a trial visit before you commit to a regular day and time.
  • Ask who covers if your regular cleaner is ill or on holiday.
  • Ask how to give notice, and whether there is a minimum number of weeks.
  • Agree how you will pass on keys or door codes safely.

💬 Questions about regular cleaning costs

How often should I book a regular clean in London?

Weekly keeps things ticking over, every two weeks suits most busy households, and monthly is a nice reset. Pick what matches your mess levels. You can change it later.

Will I get the same cleaner every time?

Most cleaners in London like a regular routine, so that's the usual set-up. Say you'd like the same person when you request quotes.

Do I need to be home?

Not at all. Plenty of people leave a key or a lockbox code. Sort out access with your cleaner before the first visit.

How many hours of cleaning does a flat need?

A one-bed flat is often 2 to 3 hours and a three-bed house 4 to 5 hours. A cleaner will confirm after seeing the home or your photos.
