Who we are

HouseBFF is run by the team behind this website. We decide how your personal data is used when you ask for quotes through HouseBFF, so we are the data controller. Our contact details are on the contact page.

What we collect and why

• What you type into the quote form: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, answers to the questions, extra details. We use it to find up to three local pros for your job and to pass your request to them.
• Your email address is also used to send you one message with a link to confirm your request. We only pass your request on once you have confirmed.
• Technical information, such as your IP address, which our hosting and bot-protection services process to keep the site running and to stop spam.
• Where you came from (for example the page or campaign that sent you here), so we can see what works.

Why we are allowed to use it

We share your request with matched pros because you ask us to and consent to it when you send the form. We use technical information to run and protect the service, which is in our legitimate interests. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Who we share it with

Pros: when you send a confirmed request we share it with up to three pros who work in your area. They then decide how to use it to reply to you, and each pro is responsible for the way they use the details they receive.

Services that help us run the site: Cloudflare (hosting, security and bot checks with Cloudflare Turnstile), Resend (sending the confirmation email) and PostHog (usage statistics, hosted in the US). We do not sell your data.

Analytics, cookies and storage

We use PostHog for usage statistics. It is set up to store nothing on your device, so we do not use cookies for it, and it receives no name, email address, phone number, full postcode or answers. We ask your browser to respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. The only thing we keep in your browser is your light or dark theme choice.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for 365 days, then delete them. A request you never confirm is turned down after 24 hours. We can delete your details sooner if you ask.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw your consent. To use a right, contact us using the details on the contact page and tell us the email address you used. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We will update this page if the way we use data changes. Last updated 6 November 2026.
